Greenwood Tennis Club Inc. has an adult membership for players over 18yrs and a Junior Membership for players under 19yrs.
We offer social play, inter-club league competitions and coaching for beginners to state level players.
In addition, the Club provides social events and novelty activities for all members to enjoy.

Compulsory Affiliation Fees included in membership fees: Tennis West.


Tennis Australia's Code of Conduct shall apply throughout all Pennant seasons.

Pennant Competitions: Seniors

Trophies on wallAll members are encouraged to participate in inter-club league competition.
We are affiliated with Tennis West, Tennis Seniors & NDTA. Pennants are played against other clubs throughout the year on weekends & some evenings. Members are notified via email/post when nominations for pennant competitions are about to start. Contact the Club Captain is you wish to compete.
Pennant players pay a $5 ball fee, when they are rostered to play. The ball fees covers most of the cost of the Team Nomination fee to Tennis West and for new balls for every time the teams play.

Tennis West League: Seniors (Singles and doubles)

Northern Districts (NDTA) - Doubles only.
* Wednesday night MENS DOUBLES starting at 7pm. Teams of 4, playing four sets each.

* Saturday afternoon MIXED DOUBLES starting at 1.15pm Teams of 2 men & 2 women, playing four sets each.

All Juniors are encouraged to participate in Tennis League competitions as it greatly assists in the development of their tennis skills. There are several different age groups with a number of different standards to cater for all skill levels. Tennis West League competitions are held on Sunday mornings during school terms in both Summer (8:30am - 12:30pm), and Winter (9am - 12:30pm).

Players Attire

Tennis West's code regarding tennis attire shall apply throughout all Pennant seasons.
Male Pocketed tennis shorts, collared shirts (small motifs only), tennis socks, tennis shoes and hat (recommended).
Female Recognized tennis dresses, skirts (divided or otherwise), shirts (collared or otherwise, small motifs only), tennis socks, tennis shoes and hat (recommended).
Tracksuits may be worn during the hit-up only. A tracksuit may be worn as an adjunct to (not a substitute for), normal tennis attire. During very cold weather, tracksuits may be worn during play.

Club Championships

Are held annually usually during March / April. this event combines the Junior and Senior members of the club. All members are encouraged to compete. There are different events provided to cover all ages and skill levels. The Trophy Presentation is held on the final Sunday of the event, is always well supported and is an enjoyable afternoon.
